East Bergholt Parish Council

There are 13 voluntary Councillors representing East Bergholt on the Parish Council which meets the on the second Thursday of every month at 7.30pm in the Lambe School.
Meetings commence with a brief open session for reports from County and District Councillors, Police and for the villagers to raise any concerns. The list of meetings, agendas, minutes and associated documents can be found here.
The agenda are posted on the Parish noticeboards (outside Griers and in East End Lane, East End) at least three days before meetings. Every month the current planning applications are available for viewing at 7.00pm and later discussed by Parish Councillors during the closed session. A response on each application is formulated to be submitted to Babergh.
The April meeting is the Annual Parish Meeting where Parishoner's can hear and question the annual reports from the Council and each of its committees.
Both meetings are followed by a Council Meeting. May is the Annual Council Meeting where the Chair, Vice Chair are elected and the make-up of the committees agreed. This is followed by the Planning and Statutory meetings.
