Spain tightens mask rules for all older than five see: BBC News

But are they effective? Seven types of face masks were put to the test by the University of Edinburgh, including surgical masks, respirators, lightweight and heavy-duty face shields, and handmade masks. Aside from those with a valve, all of the face coverings were found to reduce the forward distance travelled by an exhaled breath by at least 90%. See: SKY news

Why are they not compulsory in the UK? Especially when people are ignoring social distancing rules. See BBC News: BBC News

Are the Government going to ignore this warning? They ignored the problems at Old People's homes until it was too late. Are they going to ignore this until the death toll rises again? Mask reduce the forward distance travelled by an exhaled breath by at least 90%. Mask help. Support the petition.

COVID-19 Statistics

Why is the UK performing so badly during this current pandemic? Please make sure you follow the Government's advice and social distancing rules.

Have a look at the report on how the virus is transmitted. It will help you to protect yourself.

Statisics from https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/:

Cases World ranking
Registered cases of COVID-19 / 1M population 2961 14th worse
Deaths / 1M population 443 6th worse
Total deaths 30,076 2nd worse

Why are the new cases not going down?

Compare the new daily cases in the UK with those for example in Italy. Why are the number of cases in the UK more or less static while those in Italy and other countries are dropping. Should we be following their examples and wearing masks?

UK daily new COVID-19 cases
Italy daily new COVID-19 cases
